HPTA / Warringah Plastics proudly created solutions to manufacture larger than life Dominos exhibited in Sculpture by the Sea.

The install, 'Recession', by Mike Lipman - Sculptor & Engineer was vacuum formed using HPTA' large Vacuum former, the Monark. Each Domino, at a massive 2.4 x 1.2 metres was formed from one timber pattern with multiple inserts, allowing all of the different number configurations. The white number dots were accurately CNC cut and bonded, giving the finishing touch. The 'whole package solution' providing the combination of the design of the timber pattern and the size capabilities of the Monark made this a cost effective and viable project. All of the plastics used are fully recyclable and made to size to minimise wastage and UV rated for outdoor longevity..

This was a very successful sculpture that was a real hit with the crowds, allowing people from all generations and walks of life to interact & experience such a grand & poignant sculpture -something that we were very proud to be a part of.
